  Multiring came together rather quickly during the end of Shelton's time in Copenhagen, where he incidentally began his life as a US expat on election night 2016. Shelton met Rønn by chance at Koncertkirken in Nørrebro, and these two experienced improvisors found a common ground while developing music together in Rønn's studio on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The resulting 6 pieces focus on the similarly warm sounds of saxophone and organ to make music that is driven by a minimal aesthetic and creates a mood unique to the environment in which it was created.

  Aram Shelton is an American saxophonist and composer who plays with a distinct, harmonically rich sound and develops musical thoughts through constant motion, tonal shifts and complex sounds alongside clear melodic and rhythmic constructs. His vocabulary utilizes the range of extended techniques including multiphonics, harmonics, circular breathing, wind sounds and an exploration of the outer ranges of the instrument. He is known for his contributions to the creative music scenes in Chicago and San Francisco. His writing and playing has been documented through more than two dozen albums on labels including Delmark, Clean Feed, Cuneiform, Not Two and Singlespeed Music. He has worked closely with the likes of Larry Ochs, Kyle Bruckmann, Kjell Nordeson, Jason Adasiewicz, Josh Berman, Weasel Walter, Tim Daisy, Jason Ajemian and Fred Lonberg-Holm. www.aramshelton.com
  Christian Rønn is a Danish composer and performer working within electronic music, freeform and soundart in the greyzone areas where sound breaks up and transforms into something else in order to give an experience of transcendence and a journey beyond language. Trained as an organist at The Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen, collisions between genres/tropes have always interested him and remain a focus point. His current practice explores instrumental playing in the area between freeform and fixed composition via electronics and electroacoustics. Collaborators/co-performers include Ikue Mori, Rhyse Chatham, Peter Peter, P.O. Jørgens, Lotte Anker, Ingrid Chavez; concerts in Europe, The Middle-East, Japan, the US; and residencies at EMS (Stockholm), Worm Tonstudio (Rotterdam), IAC (Malmö). www.christianronn.dk
